Creating jobs, strengthening communities
Thornhill, December 15 —Honourable Peter Kent, Member of Parliament for Thornhill, is encouraging employers and not-for-profit organizations to apply for funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program.
“For more than ten years, the Canada Summer Jobs program has helped young people develop skills and gain work experience in communities across Canada. This program also helps Thornhill businesses and organisations to grow, at the same time meeting community needs”.
Funding will be available to not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees who create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.

The Government of Canada will be accepting applications from December 19, 2017 until February 2, 2018.
