Kent encourages Thornhill businesses to respond to Enabling Accessibility Fund for mid-sized projects, Call for Applications
Thornhill, April 6, 2018—The Honourable Peter Kent, Member of Parliament for Thornhill, is pleased to bring to your attention The Government of Canada, Call for Proposals Enabling Accessibility Fund for mid-sized projects
Funding will support the construction, renovation and retrofit of accessible facilities or venues in Canadian communities that offer or plan to offer programs and/or services that focus on a holistic approach in addressing the social and/or labour market integration needs of people with disabilities.
This call has a two-step application process. For this first step, the Government of Canada is seeking an overview of your proposed project. If your Application for Funding is selected for the next step, you will be invited to submit a full proposal. At that time, you will be asked to provide additional information about your proposed project.
In a personal message to his constituency, Mr. Kent stated, “this is a good opportunity for eligible organizations in Thornhill to expand services to all by installing accessible facilities at community venues”.
The deadline for the first submission of the application is May 24, 2018
